      @@erseshe militias, guerrilla fighting and an armed population is actually a better way of defending a territory against a stronger enemy. (Colonists vs British Empire, Spain vs Napoleon, Spanish militias vs fascists, Afghanistan vs USSR/US, Vietnam vs US, etc.)

      it is also one of the reasons why Hitler didn't want to invade Switzerland: they have an armed population and organised militias

      And by the way, military operations can also be provided by private enterprise, which could complement militias if there weren't state armies

      @@erseshe I was only considering political centralization, so I agree with your first point. On the latter, I have to say decentralization does not equal isolation, and cooperation is of course preferable

    In summary this guy thinks decentralization is bad in some cases because it will take power of corrupted central authorities (aka modern monarchs).

      The contrary. Decentralization gives power to private properties which leads to monopolization and thus appovrishment. We NEED to focus on atteining national power
